WHO IS NATE?

Nate Yangkyoon Oh is a designer who is designing from his personal experience mostly. The philosophy of his design concept is that everything should come from by himself, and should be something that have to be contemplated with everybody about the concept. At the same time, he shows a lot of two side of his personality in his design by using two different elements such as hard materials and soft materials, but likes to make harmony between two different things at the same time. Nate Yangkyoon Oh will keep showing his design which is coming from his personal story, but the story will also occur everybody’s sympathy and contemplation.

오양균의 디자인은 주로 개인적인 감정이나 경험을 통해 표출된다. 각 챕터에 잡혀있는 테마 또한 당시의 나의 감정상태와 경험을 토대로 만들어진 것이다. 어떨때는 불안함을 느끼고, 어떨때는 열등함도 느끼며, 어떨때는 현재 나의 상태에서 도망치고 싶고 탐색하고 싶어한다. 그렇게 느끼는 감정들을 최대한 솔직하고 나다운 방법으로 표현하려고 한다. 그것이 패션디자이너이면서 그래픽 디자이너이기도한 오양균이 디자인을 하는 방식이다. “나 자신으로부터의 이야기.”
